**Meet Consilience’s Issue II Editors**

	Hannah Lee: hsl2103@columbia.edu Hannah S. Lee is an environmental engineering student at Columbia University, deeply fortunate to be working with the driven and passionate members of Consilience: The Journal of Sustainable Development. She studies carbon mitigation technologies, and is especially dedicated to energy access studies for regions of poverty which lack the infrastructure and distribution of renewable energy services. She will transition the current group of undergraduate and graduate students of Consilience to next year’s program of two new issues (Issues III and IV) of Consilience: invigorating dialogue series in three partner Universities around the world, rotations of themed writings, a Journal translated in Chinese and French, and expansion of readership across nations and schools. Hannah will graduate in May and continue on to graduate school.
	Sari Ancel: sariancel@gmail.com Sari Ancel is a junior at Columbia majoring in Earth and Environmental Engineering. She is an active member of Engineers Without Borders and believes in simple engineering solutions to solve problems faced by developing communities. She has field experience implementing a micro-hydro power system in rural India.
	Sara Arrow: sa2423@barnard.edu Sara A. Arrow is a junior at Barnard College, Columbia University, majoring in Political Science and minoring in History. Her areas of interest include conflict resolution, globalization, and foreign policy. She is also Features Editor and contributing writer for The Current: A Journal of Contemporary Politics, Culture and Jewish Affairs at Columbia.
	Adriana Akers: aa2359@columbia.edu Adriana Akers is a senior at Barnard College majoring in Urban Studies with a concentration in Sociology. Her areas of interest include sustainability in transportation, waste management, agriculture, and consumption patterns. She has studied development issues in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bangalore, India, and Beijing and Shanghai, China.
	Rick Betita: rab2148@columbia.edu Rick Betita is a junior in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is majoring in Earth and Environmental Engineering with a concentration in Sustainable Energy and Materials, and minoring in both Economics and Materials Science and Engineering. When he’s not in Butler buried under problem sets, he runs rehearsals as the co-musical director for Nonsequitur, an a cappella group on campus. He firmly believes in the potential that sustainable energy has for the future, but knows that an interdisciplinary approach is needed to realize that potential.
	David Berke: djb2142@columbia.edu David Berke is a CC freshman majoring in English and Creative Writing. Along with managing the editorial column for Consilience, he writes and/or edits for Bwog, the Columbia Spectator, the Columbia Journal of Literary Criticism and the Columbia Political Review.
	Lucy Chen: lhc2104@columbia.edu Lucy Chen is a senior at Columbia University majoring in Economics with a concentration in Environmental Science. After spending a semester abroad in Beijing, China, her interests have shifted towards environmental policy and economic development. She hopes that whatever she pursues after graduation will help her find her niche in the quickly expanding world of sustainable development. In addition to Consilience, Lucy is a member of the Adaptive Sports Foundation, where she teaches snowboarding to students with physical and cognitive disabilities.
	Winston Christie-Blick: winstoncb@gmail.com It took nearly two years as an undergraduate at Columbia College for Winston to settle down as an Economics-Philosophy joint major following a fateful combination of assigned readings from Smith, Marx, Singer and a particularly well written introductory econ textbook. The following summer took him to LSE where he was introduced to Development Economics, followed by a short stint of independent study in Economics of Happiness under the auspices of Dr. Andrew Oswald at the University of Warwick. After spending the fall semester abroad, analyzing the effects of unfriendly exchange rates on an undergraduate’s bank account in Paris, Winston returned home to join up with the Consilience team as the ‘08 spring semester drew to a close. Interested from the start in the valuable potential of overlapping disparate academic fields, he is eager to become engaged in the debate over Sustainable Development and its challenges within the Columbia community and beyond.
	Philip Crone: ptc2107@columbia.edu Philip Crone is currently a sophomore at Columbia College majoring in Philosophy with a concentration in Economics. He hopes to one day work on issues of development and environmental economics. He also works as a DJ for the In All Languages department of WKCR, Columbia University’s FM radio station.

	Grant Graziani: gcg2110@columbia.edu Grant Graziani is a sophomore at Columbia College and plans to major in economics and concentrate in sustainable development. His interests include economic development, public health policy, and access to medicine particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to working for Consilience, Grant serves as Co-President of Columbia’s Student Global AIDS Campaign, an HIV/AIDS activist organization.
	Genevieve Joy: gbj2102@columbia.edu Genevieve Joy is a senior at Columbia University majoring in English with a concentration in Sustainable Development. She hopes to be an environmental lawyer or journalist and to travel as much as possible while doing so. When she is not working on Consilience, she keeps busy as co-captain of the women’s rowing team.
	Noé Kinet: njk2112@columbia.edu Noé Kinet is a junior at Columbia College, currently majoring in Biology with a special concentration in Sustainable Development. His areas of interest include environmental biology and engineering, oceanography, global health, and alternate energy solutions for the future. He is a firm believer in an interdisciplinary approach to all issues concerning sustainable development, and looks forward to the growth of the Journal.
	Ruthie King: rfk2108@columbia.edu Ruthie King is an undergraduate at Columbia College, majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Sustainable Development. Her interest in sustainable living stems from her work at the Earth Institute and from living and traveling abroad. Living in New York City has directed her to a new area of interest: urban development.
	Caitlin Martin: cm2380@columbia.edu Caitlin Martin is a senior at Barnard College majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. Aspiring to become a doctor, Caitlin also does research in neurology. Caitlin’s interests include public health and access to medicine. In addition to Consilience, Caitlin is also involved in The Current: A Journal of Contemporary Politics, Culture and Jewish Affairs at Columbia.
	Chikara Onda: chikara.onda@gmail.com Chikara is a junior at Columbia University majoring in Environmental Science with a concentration in Economics. His interests include the role of water systems management in sustainable development, the impact of conflict on environmental systems, and the politics of climate change. Next year, Chikara will be conducting field work in Botswana. As his most recent research focuses on the effect of water scarcity on conflict outbreak, he hopes to work for environmental International Organizations; in the mean time, however, he hopes to keep the Consilience editorial board well-hydrated!
	Jisung Park: jp2317@columbia.edu Jisung Park is a Senior at Columbia College, majoring in Economics and Political Science, with a concentration in Sustainable Development. He is particularly interested in Environmental Economics and Biodiversity Conservation, as well as the economics of climate change. Jisung is a lifelong basketball fanatic, and also sings bass for the jazz a cappella group Uptown Vocal.
	Greer Raggio: gar2106@columbia.edu Greer Raggio is a second-year graduate (MPH) student at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health. She is studying Molecular Epidemiology within the Department of Environmental Health Sciences. Greer’s academic interests include the dynamics of climate change and its projected health consequences, along with sustainable urban planning.
	Daniela Sloninsky: daniela.sloninsky@gmail.com Daniela is finishing up her Masters in Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management at the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. Her main interest in sustainable development lies in health, particularly investments in self-sustaining healthcare systems. As a former English major and now a medical school bound social scientist, Daniela is thrilled to be involved with the interdisciplinary team that is Consilience, embracing a rigorous and humanistic examination of international development.
	Alexandra Sukalo: as3083@barnard.edu Alexandra Sukolo is a senior at Barnard College majoring in political science with minors in Art History and French. Her areas of interest include NATO, US-Russian relations, and military strategy.
	Monica Varman: mav2125@columbia.edu Monica Varman is a sophomore at Columbia College, studying Economics-Mathematics with a concentration in Sustainable Development. Her academic interests include economic development policy and microfinance. She is a managing editor for Awaaz: A Journal of South Asian Affairs at Columbia University, a reporter for The Columbia Spectator and a research assistant with the Center for Global Health and Economic Development at Columbia University.
